PUBLIC NOTICE
- ORDER OF THE CITY OF JONESTOWN BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS
- ORDERING DEMOLITION OF SUBSTANDARD BUILDING
Notice is hereby given that the City of Jonestown Board of Adjustments and Appeals held a hearing on February 13, 2023, regarding a building on property located at 11408 Bertram Street, Lot 721 Jonestown Hills Unit 6, Jonestown, Travis County, Texas 78645. The Board found from evidence presented at the public hearing that the building is substandard and in violation of the minimum standards set forth in Article 3.03, Chapter 3 of the Jonestown City Code and that the defects or conditions exist to the extent that the life, health, property and safety of the public are endangered.
Therefore, the Board, on February 13, 2023, issued the following Order that:
The owner and persons having an interest in the building must secure, repair, vacate and/or demolish the building within 30 days from the issuance of this Order. Failure to comply will result in the following action by the City of Jonestown:
- The City of Jonestown shall cause any occupants of the building to be relocated (if any exist) and shall cause the building to be demolished at the City’s expense.
- The City of Jonestown shall assess the expenses on and place a lien against the property on which the building was/is located. Said lien shall be extinguished if the property owner or a person having an interest in the building reimburses the city for the expenses.
