Upcoming Oak Wilt Prevention Tree Service
The City wanted to make citizens aware of an upcoming tree service scheduled at Jones Brothers Park that coincides with the City’s ongoing Oak Wilt prevention efforts.
This information is being shared in the event that residents living near the park may have questions or concerns.
Heritage Tree Care has scheduled oak wilt prevention treatments for nine (9) live oak trees located around the Jones Brothers Park Boat Ramp.
The work is scheduled to take place Monday, January 19 through Thursday, January 22, with technicians arriving between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. each day.
A City staff member will be onsite accompanying the arborist during the work.
This preventative maintenance is part of the City’s proactive Oak Wilt Program and is intended to protect the health and longevity of the park’s mature oak trees.
